Here It Is

I have been planning to put up my blog for at least a year now. Finally, here it is. I hope I can sustain it.

"Yoyeya" literally means "here it is". It is an expression of the Gaddang people of Nueva Vizcaya (Philippines) . I am part Gaddang as my Lola or grandmother (whom we used to call Mommy) is a Maludduy (one of the oldest and few surviving Gaddang bloodlines).

Yoyeya can be expressed with humor, sarcasm, or exasperation - depending on the mood or situation you're in. For this blog, it also means exactly that - an open and direct declaration of what is. The musings and queries will vary from the mundane to the insane as the days go, but they will always be served as they are, as they come.

You can also look at it this way - the blog title is a collaboration of the expressions Yo! Yey! and Ya! And again depending on how you will use them, they can represent a good number of meanings and perorations.

So here it is - Yoyeya!

Juan! Ading! (Husay.)
